After years of dreaming and months of saving, I finally arrived in the great southern land of Australia. My first two months were split between watching England against Australia in the Ashes and intensive roadtrips away from the big cities.

I followed up the cricket with two superb weeks in Tasmania early on in 2003, but then my trip (and life) took an unexpected change of course, with 3 fun-filled months in Melbourne, enjoying life with Heather and going AFL mad working for Australian Rules team Richmond Tigers.

Then it was back on the road, taking many of Australia's icons, such as Uluru and Kakadu National Park in Northern Territory, the Bungle Bungles in WA, outback and tropical Queensland, before finishing up in the Blue Mountains and Sydney, NSW.

Australia gave me eight months of unforgettable experiences and memories, amazing sunrises and sunsets, not to mention a vast addition to my photo collection.
