A three day traditional sailing trip from Airlie Beach around the Whitsunday Islands, aboard Prosail's half-sized replica Gloucester schooner, the good ship Providence V.

We set out first for a sheltered bay at exclusive Hamilton Island, for some scuba diving and snorkelling, a chance to enjoy the fringing coral reefs and marine life. Then as the weather became a little unsettled, we set sail alongside Hook Island, anchoring for the night between it and Whitsunday Island. That night we enjoyed the first of many meals excellently prepared by Providence's three man crew.

Next day provided mixed weather and mixed fortunes. The early morning's pleasant sail along the eastern coast of Whitsunday Island soon got exciting as a squall swept northwards, some diving below whilst others grinned and enjoyed the spray as the boat swept along towards Whitehaven Beach.
