Route: Hartsop - Hayeswater Gill - Hayeswater - The Knott - Straits of Riggindale - High Street - Mardale Ill Bell - Thornthwaite Crag/Beacon - Threshthwaite Mouth - Pasture Bottom - Hartsop
Notes: A fresh, strong wind heralding the approaching cold front meant for a chilly day on the fells, but nonetheless, some fine views were to be had of the Helvellyn range, the Pennines and Lake Windermere as we marched along the famous Roman road atop High Street.
